Evaluations
Why Evaluations are important
Assessing your child through these evaluations helps to provide insight into their physical development, ensuring they are on track for their age.
Once evaluated, we are able to identify any areas where additional support or intervention is needed. By assessing these skills, early detection of potential issues such as developmental disorders can identified, which can enable timely interventions.

Assessing movement proficiency
Perceptual-motor development
Evaluating motor skills in early child motor development consists of six subtests that grade and evaluate gross and fine motor skills, in children from birth to 6 years old. These evaluations are designed to identify developmental delays in children and can be a valid measurement tool to identify potential disorders in development.
Young child development
This assessment for assessing young child development examines a child’s basic locomotor abilities, their static and dynamic balance, coordination skills, body awareness, and spatial orientation.
Motor proficiency assessment
The motor proficiency assessment evaluates a child’s development in both gross and fine motor skills and enables a comparison with peers of the same age.
Assessing movement proficiency
Evaluating movement proficiency assesses a child’s motor skills relative to their age and identifies any areas that may need extra focus. Additionally, it can help detect the presence of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
